"Dang Belgians"

Hey y'all! Well, I'm not sure if there's anything too new to write about. We've just been busy over here with Army stuff. lol. I never knew actually how much "Army stuff" there was to do, but there's a lot. It's always something, between getting the car fixed, fighting off animals that eat cars, and trying to get used to all the people on post right now. Right now is called rotations and since we are a post that trains soldiers before they go wherever they're sent, they train soldiers from every country. Today, Flea and I saw soldiers from Finland, Belgium, Afghanistan and Slovenia, but there are a ton more countries here than just them. So anyways, they are all over post! Today some Belguims were driving towards me, in my lane! I was by myself and I said, "Move over stupid Belgians!" haha. So when I told Flea about these "Belgians" he said, "uhh, I think it's Belgiums." haha! 
 
I have learned a lot since I've been here, about the world, about tolerance, and just about life. Even though I have to admit that I have been pretty rude. While on the phone to my dad, I told him that I didn't need to learn German since they all know English. I told him that they get mad if you don't try, but I didn't care. There is a commercial over here about being friendly with your host country, and at least trying the language. So, I basically know, a few colors, hello, thank you, bye, and a few numbers. It's hard to want to speak German, when a lot of Germans are mean, obviously because they don't want us here. A lot of them are nice too though, don't get me wrong. When I got off the phone I realized that I have a chance of a lifetime to learn a new language, and here I am, in their country, saying basically that I'm going to speak English and they'll just have to deal with it. So, anyways, I have since realized that it would be nice if I at least tried a little harder, and put some effort into learning something new.

So, that's about all of the news for now. I know that this page was getting pretty slow with all of the pictures, so I am going to keep this journal for writing, and we are putting our pictures on a different website that hopefully I email to you all. Take care everyone! Tschus!
